The San Blas archipelago,
formed by than 350 islands, is one of the purest places of the
Caribbean sea. Its great reef makes this place a true paradise for
those, who really love sailing and other seafaring activities. And
moreover the beauty of its thousand atolls is difficult to
describe. |

What can we say about the light… the colours… the
corals, that offer even to the inexperienced swimmer the possibility
to have unforgettable encounters with the most beautiful and strange
kind of marine flora and fauna (turtles, greys, dolphins and fishes
of all colours and forms). |

A practically constant wind blowing from the
north quadrant and the seawaters protected by the coast and the
reefs, make sailing a pleasant and relaxing experience in a
scenery build up of islands that disappear on stern to make room
to others that appear on prow, this offering wonderful
possibilities of landing in desert islands or of making knowledge
of local folklore of the inhabited ones. |
|
The Kuna population, who lives in these islands
enjoys of complete autonomy, that allowed them to protect their
natural patrimony from industrial fishing and from the unregulated
building; but allowing anyway artisan and sports fishing and accepting
sailing, which is an activity, that as known, has no impact on the
environment.

The two San Blas airports, founded one on the
eastern and the other on the western part of the archipelago, are
easily reachable from Panama City with daily flights and give the
possibility of visiting the most beautiful and interesting places of
the archipelago in one week, with brief and pleasant daily sails.
